STATEMENT OF FAITH
Since this college is an integral and inseparable ministry of Madison Baptist Church, its Statement of Faith, shown below, is a verbatim copy of Article II, Section I of The Constitution of Madison Baptist Church - minus Scripture references.
Section 1 - Statement of Faith
1. All Scripture is divinely inspired by God, inerrant, infallible, and the FINAL RULE for Faith and Practice,
preserved in the English language in the King James Bible.
2. One God eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
4. Man was created in the image of God; man sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also
that spiritual death which is separation from God; and all human beings are born with a sinful nature,
thereby requiring a “new birth” experience to go to Heaven.
5. Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified by His blood.
6. The crucified body of our Lord was resurrected from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is our
Intercessor.
7. The personal, premillennial return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is imminent.
8. All who repent of their sin toward God and receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ, are born again of the
Holy Spirit, and become the children of God.
9. Salvation is by grace through faith. No work by man, whether baptism or any other religious work, adds
or aids in securing favor with God for salvation.
10. All believers are baptized at salvation by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ and set apart to service
and a Holy walk.
11. All true believers, having been born again into the family of God, are possessors of everlasting life,
sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption, shall never perish, and are eternally secure in Him.
12. The bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved, and the
everlasting punishment of the lost are certain.
13. Immersion is the only Scriptural mode of baptism and is for believers only.
14. The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of His death until He comes.
