Larry Nelson - Missions Director
The first missionary family from our church was our founding pastor, Tony Stark. In 1989, he yielded to God’s call to leave his church in Madison, Alabama to begin a new ministry in Uganda, East  Africa. Shortly after that the Lord called Bob Cook and his family to serve with the Starks.

​In 1991, the Nelson family surrendered to serve as missionaries in Uganda. In just over thirty years of missions work Madison Baptist Church has sent out thirty-seven of its own families ministering and planting churches in fifteen different countries around the world. God is not finished. He is preparing and calling others to serve Him  in the ministry of MBC World Missions.
